Booozie’s 10-minute liquor delivery service launched in Odisha – Odisha Diary

Bhubaneshwar: Booozie, the service that took Kolkata by storm with a first alcohol delivery platform in 10 minutes, is set to launch its operations in Odisha after receiving a NOC from the Odisha Excise Department.

Odisha, primarily Bhubaneswar, has been a tremendous market for alcohol sales, with one of the highest percentages of the population consuming alcohol. Surveys indicate that the percentage is almost double the national average.

“After receiving an overwhelming and unprecedented response in Kolkata, we wanted to expand further in the eastern cluster. We welcome the Odisha government’s step-by-step decision to issue NOCs to aggregators like Booozie. Bhubaneswar is rapidly developing from a Tier II city to a smart metro with a huge demographic of E-com users. In-app analytics, brand feedback, and user data from the field in Kolkata have all highlighted that there is a void in the market for an efficient and cost-effective delivery service in the liquor segment. We were able to capture 25% market share in the first month of our operations in Kolkata. » Said Vivekanand Balijepalli, founder and CEO of Booozie.

Booozie offers premium delivery services at affordable and almost negligible delivery charges, which seems to have pleased the customer. So how did Booozie achieve this, we asked Vivekanand.

He said” We have been very strategic in our selection of stores, maximizing our strength of riders, using technology to anticipate trends, keeping retailer interests intact to deliver a robust model that can be plug and play in Bhubaneswar. This coupled with the sale of our in-house FMCG products such as packaged drinking water, club soda, tonic water, ginger ale, etc. and snacks, ensures the viability of the model. I believe a BOOOZIE is one who enjoys a drink responsibly, smartly and shamelessly. We want to make sure we provide this to our BOOOZIE colleagues.

This one stop shop for all things alcohol seems to be the need of the hour in Bhubaneswar and indeed across the country.
