EZ Liquor LoungeAgricole Hospitality’s new bar project, will open later this summer with a familiar face on the Houston bar scene.

Matt Tanner, known to Houston cocktail enthusiasts from his work at Anvil Bar & Refuge, Hay Merchant, OKRA Charity Saloon and Captain Foxheart’s Bad News Bar & Spirits Lounge, is partnering with Agricole Hospitality to open a new neighborhood bar at 3302 White Oak, next to Coltivare.

EZ’s will be Agricole’s (Coltivare, Eight Row Flint) first new project since late 2018, when it rolled out a succession of three-headed EaDo openings with Vinny’s, Indianola and Miss Carousel. The new Heights bar is inspired by a “collective love of a good neighborhood dive” by co-owner Tanner working with the Agricultural team of Ryan Pera, Morgan Weber and Vincent Huynh. It will offer cocktails (including tap and frozen), beer, wine and a selection of no-frills bar snacks including Frito pie, fries and dips and wagyu hot dogs.

Tanner was most recently Head of Concept Beverages for Pappas Restaurants, where he developed cocktail programs for eight Pappas brands with more than 100 locations in seven states.
